SB 14 is scheduled to be voted upon by the Texas House on Friday, May 12th.
SB 14 bans trans sex treatment and sex mutilation surgery on children, and revokes the medical license of any doctor who participates in this activity.
The vote on SB 14 was postponed twice last week on points of order by Democrats. If Speaker Phelan’s puppeteers had wanted it to pass, then it would have passed last Tuesday or Friday.

Kolkhorst, relating to the powers and duties of the Health and Human Services Commission and the transfer to the commission of certain powers and duties from the Department of Family and Protective Services. Establishes the Texas Pregnancy and Parenting Support Network to ensure it is implemented as a continuation of the current Alternatives to Abortion program, 05/10 committee report sent to House Calendars. Identical HB 4049, by Rep. Frank, 03/20 was referred to the House Human Services Committee, chaired by Rep. Frank. 512.463. 0534. This bill needs to be placed on the House Calendar.
