Justice Devine Dissents with Texas Supreme Court Decision that Denies Citizens’ Constitutional Rights of Speech and Petition

Austin, Texas – This morning, September 1, 2023, the Texas Supreme Court denied a petition in Hotze v. Texas State Senate case requesting it to remove both the Gag Order in Ken Paxton’s upcoming impeachment trial and the Senate ruling preventing Paxton’s spouse Senator Angela Paxton from voting. This petition was filed by Steven F. Hotze, M.D., Allesan Paige Streeter and Honorable Molly White for writ of mandamus with the Texas Supreme Court (Case #23-0682) after their request for a temporary restraining order was denied by the 201st District Court in Travis County. Jared Woodfill, J.D., is representing the plaintiffs in this case.

In a dissenting opinion, https://www.txcourts.gov/media/1457021/230682d.pdf, Supreme Court Justice John Devine wrote, “I would grant the requested mandamus relief. As judges, we must serve as faithful guardians of the Constitution. When a matter is within our jurisdiction, ‘the Constitution does not permit judges to look the other way; we must call foul when the constitutional lines are crossed.’”

What You Need to Know Before the Paxton Impeachment Trial Starts on Sept. 5

Joe Menslage, Katy Christian Magazine

AUSTIN, TX — State Attorney General Ken Paxton will appear before the Texas Senate on Tuesday, September 5, to respond to 16 of 20 articles of impeachment that were approved by the Lone Star State “kangaroo court,” or Texas House, in May. That vote suspended Paxton from his seat without pay.

This is the trial Texans must pay attention to, as the verdict will sway the fragile future of our state. In May, a hung jury of Dade Phelan’s RINOs and Democrats voted to suspend Gen. Paxton and try him for impeachment, with charges including “bribery and abuse of public trust.”

There was plenty wrong with Winston Churchill.

My political hero Pat Buchanan wrote a whole book about that. Besides being an egotist and a very heavy drinker, Churchill was an unbeliever, a religious agnostic at best. A warmonger for most of his life, Churchill had urged Britain into its bloody, pointless involvement in World War I, then presided over the bloodbath landing at Gallipoli.

Churchill’s anti-German stance made him hostile even to the peaceful Weimar Republic. Churchill had old-fashioned racial views (which today get him damned as a racist) and fervently wished to force India to remain a British colony.

KATY ISD SCHOOL BOARD SUPPORTS PARENTS’ RIGHTS AND OPPOSES TRANS AGENDA

- Steven Hotze, MD

August 28, 2023 the Katy ISD School Board passed the conservative Parental Authority and Gender Policy 4-3.

This policy will put a stop to the Katy schools’ promotion and propagandizing of the trans philosophy, which allows teachers to tell children that they can choose their sex gender and allows children to lie about their sex gender and change their names without parental knowledge. It will also put a stop to allowing boys access to girls’ bathrooms, showers and locker rooms, and prevent boys from competing in girls’ sports. It will also give parents the right to know if teachers are trying to transition and groom their children sexually.

RINOs on Woke Texas Supreme Court Deny Appeal to Allow Transgender Healthcare Ban Amid Litigation

Texas' law forbidding transgender healthcare for minors remains temporarily blocked

The Supreme Court of Texas has denied the state government’s appeal for its transgender-affirming care for minors bill to remain in place as it faces litigation.

Senate Bill 14 was signed into law in June, banning healthcare professionals from providing transgender healthcare to minors. A group of Texas families and the American Civil Liberties Union sued Texas and were granted an initial injunction on August 25 by the District Court of Travis County. The injunction prevents the law from being enforced pending the result of the lawsuit.

Texas appealed the decision to the state Supreme Court, requesting an emergency motion for temporary relief, which was denied Thursday.
