Kim Jong Un has been running his mouth for long enough regarding his nuclear capabilities, according to recent missile launches by the United States.
While Kim and his North Korean military have twice failed to launch even the simplest of ballistic missiles in recent weeks, they continue to posture and provoke the U.S. and her allies with wild claims about their ability to “completely destroy” the American mainland with a battery of nuclear missiles. Truth be told, the only thing that is occurring at the North Korean nuclear sites seem to be intense volleyball matches possibly meant to mock satellite observers.
Now, in response to these embarrassing failures by the reclusive nation, the United States has taken a moment to display her intercontinental prowess.
“The US Air Force test launched an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile on Wednesday from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
“The test comes a week after the US successfully test fired an ICBM at the airbase.
“The news will come as a blow to North Korea which has suffered a string of embarrassing missile launch failures.
“’The purpose of the ICBM test launch program is to validate and verify the effectiveness, readiness and accuracy of the weapon system,’ Air Force Global Strike Command said in a statement.
“While Col John Moss, 30th Space Wing commander, said the launch was to demonstrate the ‘nuclear capabilities’ of the US.”
Kim Jong Un and company would be foolish to believe that the United States isn’t capable of completely decimating the rogue nation’s nuclear test sites, let alone the entire country’s infrastructure, at the drop of the hat should the Commander in Chief so choose.
Adding further concern for the diminutive dictator is that these recent U.S. tests took place in California, some 5,600 miles away. The United States and her allies have already amassed an enormous war machine in the area of the Korean Peninsula, with warships from 4 nations currently waiting off of the coast of Kim Jong Un’s nation, and a Russian/Chinese cabal of troops and supplies lining up along their respective borders with the despotic dictatorship.
Should Kim and his generals decide to further antagonize the United States, and the world at large for that matter, the number of possible outcomes for the hermit kingdom will continues to narrow.
