“Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; He who guards himself will be far from them.” (Proverbs 22:6)
Perverse means deviant, abnormal, turned away from what is right and good. Right and wrong are defined by Biblical law.
“For the Lord Most High is to be feared, a great King over all the earth.” (Psalm 47:2)
“The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all.”
(Psalm 103:19)
“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverted mouth, I hate.” (Proverbs 8:13)
God is the sovereign authority and rules over the nations. He has established His law. It must be obeyed. If killing an unborn baby or committing sodomy isn’t perverse, then the word should be removed from the dictionary. Those who are ungodly and perverse in their activities want everyone to accept and affirm their actions as normal. They scorn those who lead virtuous, godly, biblically based lives. These evil people are vitriolic, full of hate and have murder in their hearts against anything that is right and honorable. Those that practice wickedness have a difficult path to follow, because it is full of thorns and snares. Boldly speak the truth to them from the Bible.
“The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, driving to the division of soul and spirit, joint and marrow, and judging the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
(Hebrews 4:12)
