North Korea Could Use Its Satellites to Cause an Electromagentic Pulse Attack on the U.S.

Kim Jong Un and his North Korean military have been making steady threats against the United States for years, but one expert believes that his true plans for attack are much more covert.

The “supreme” leader of the reclusive North Korea has an instilled hatred for America and her allies after decades of that very sentiment being shoved down the throats of himself and his countrymen.  This has led to a multitude of threats and aggressive gestures aimed squarely at the United States, many of which have failed within moments of their inception.  Now, however, on expert believes that Pyongyang may already be readying a complicated technological strike against the U.S. mainland from a completely unannounced piece of North Korean weaponry.

“Dr. Peter Vincent Pry is executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security and is the chief of staff of the Congressional EMP Commission.

“Speaking on this reporter’s talk radio program, Pry pointed to two North Korean satellites that are currently orbiting the U.S. at trajectories he says are optimized for a surprised EMP attack. ‘Aaron Klein Investigative Radio’ is broadcast on terrestrial radio on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and NewsTalk 990 AM in Philadelphia and online.

“Pry was referring to the KMS 3-2 and KMS-4 earth observation satellites launched by North Korea in April 2012 and February 2016 respectively.

“He warned: ‘They are positioning themselves as sort of a nuclear missile age, cyberage version of the battleship diplomacy in my view. So that they can always have one of them (satellites) very close to being over the United States or over the United States.’

“’Then if a crisis comes up and if we decide to attack North Korea, Kim Jong Un can threaten our president and say, “Well, don’t do that because we are going to burn your whole country down.” Which is basically what he said. I mean, he has made threats about turning the United States into ashes and he connected the satellite program to this in public statements to deter us from attacking.’”

An EMP, or “Electromagnetic Pulse” attack would be absolutely crippling to the United States’ power grid and electronic infrastructure, plunging the targeted areas into darkness.  While this would certainly create a panic in certain locales, there is no concise theory on what the next step would be for the reclusive North Korean government.  A mainland landing seems unlikely, given the impenetrable defenses that the United States has constructed for herself.

Another consideration comes as examine California as a likely landing spot for any manned North Korean vessels.  While the United States is a nation with enough civilian firearms to scare even the most ardent potential foe, California is the exception to this rule.  It’s liberal leaning leadership has made firearms nearly nonexistent in the more populous areas of the state, leaving these citizen with a massive disadvantage should North Korean forces actually arrive on our doorstep.
