Dr. Hotze Testifies before Texas Senate State Affairs Committee on Prohibiting Transgender Treatments and Procedures on Children

This past Thursday, March 16, the Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs begin hearing testimony on Senate Bill 14, a bill that would prohibit doctors from prescribing sex change drugs and performing sex mutilation surgeries on children.

In part of his testimony, Dr. Hotze said,

“I am supporting Senate Bill 14 because it will protect children from abuse by the transgender medical industry and its pedophile proponents who sexualize children, in order to groom them to participate in their wicked, perverted, immoral lifestyle. Doctors who perform these treatments should have their medical licenses revoked. Attorney General Paxton and Governor Abbott agree that this is child abuse. God created two genders, two sexes, male and female. There are stallions and mares, bulls and heifers, roosters and hens, men and women. This is a biological fact. The idea that a man can claim to be a woman, or vice versa, is absurd and unscientific. It is a perversion of the God-given natural order. At birth, you are either a female, XX, or a male, XY. You cannot change your sex chromosomes. This is biology 101. To say otherwise is a lie.”

Dr. Hotze also testified in favor of two other bills, Senate Bill 1029, which would allow individuals who were abused as children by physicians and the medical industry to sue them for malpractice and prohibit funding of these treatments by any governmental agency and healthcare plans, and Senate Bill 250, which would revoke the medical license of any physician participating in these treatments.

There was a fourth bill, Senate Bill 162, that Dr. Hotze supported through written testimony. This bill would require the biological sex identified at birth to be recorded on the birth certificate and never changed.

Jesus stated that, “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Matthew 18:6)

The Texas Legislature has the very serious task of protecting our children.
