Rep. Valoree Swanson has courageously offered an amendment to the Texas House Appropriations Bill that will force the 150 state representatives to vote this Thursday on whether they want to prevent sexually deviant men and boys, who claim to be women, from entering women’s and girls’ public and school bathrooms, showers or locker rooms.
Call your state representative now. The Austin office number will be found on http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/. Tell your representative to vote “Yes!” on the Swanson Amendment to keep men and boys out of women’s and girls’ bathrooms, showers and locker rooms.
The following is the amendment to the House Appropriations Bill that Rep. Swanson will be offering this Thursday, April 6 when the House debates this bill. The Appropriations Bill determines how the state government will spend its money over the next two years. Here is the Swanson Amendment:
Amend C.S.S.B. No. 1 (house committee report) by adding the following appropriately even numbered rider in article IX of the bill, in Part 6, General Limitations on Expenditures (page IX – 27):
Sec. 6. Limitation on Certain Expenditures Relating to Restroom Facilities. (a) A state agency or other governmental unit using funds appropriated by this act may not expand any of those funds to construct, renovate, or reclassify a restroom facility, including a shower room and locker room, to allow or enable a man to enter a women’s restroom facility or a woman to enter a men’s restroom facility. This subsection does not apply to a restroom facility that is designated for use by families or individuals with disabilities.
(b) A state agency or other governmental unit that violates Subsection (a) of this section may not receive any funds appropriated by this Act.
The Swanson Amendment would have a much stronger effect than even SB 6, The Women’s Privacy Act, on governmental entities, city, county and state, and public school districts because there are purse strings attached. No school district or local government can afford to have their state funding removed. This will keep everyone in line. The legislature will call the shots.
There are 95 Republicans in the Texas House and 55 Democrats. The Republicans have more than enough votes to pass the Swanson Amendment and protect the privacy and safety of our mothers, wives, daughters and granddaughters.
The Texas Republican state representatives have only two choices. They are either for the Swanson Amendment which says “No Men in Women’s Bathrooms!” or they support the Marxist, socialist, atheistic, pro-homosexual ACLU and want to say by their vote, “I Pee with the LGBT.” Be sure to watch the homosexuals’ TV spot, “I Pee with the LGBT,” which was paid for by the ACLU, http://crtxnews.com/texas-legislators-two-choices-sb-6-no-men-womens-bathrooms-pee-lgbt/which. You have to see it to believe it. You can’t make this stuff up.
It is my full expectation that Republicans, left to their own devices, would overwhelmingly pass the Swanson Amendment, just like the Texas Senate Republicans resoundingly passed SB 6, 21-10. A potential problem, though, lies with Speaker Straus, his lieutenants and his core base of 55 Democrat state reps who support the LGBT and will be twisting arms, intimidating and threatening your Republican state rep not to vote for the Swanson Amendment. That is why your state representative needs to hear from you today.
No Republican state representative wants to run for office having chosen to “Pee with the LGBT,” rather than having voted “No Men in Women’s Bathrooms!”
Call your state representative now. His Austin office number will be found on http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/. Tell your representative to vote “Yes!” on the Swanson Amendment to keep men and boys out of women’s and girls’ bathrooms, showers and locker rooms.
Governor Abbott recently stated that locker room policies that allow boys to undress with girls “will not be tolerated in Texas.” His view is consistent with the Swanson Amendment, “No Men in Women’s Bathrooms!” The Swanson Amendment would keep perverted men and boys, as well as sexual predators, who claim to be women, out of women’s bathrooms, showers and locker rooms.
Statewide polling indicates that 84% of Republican primary voters and nearly 80% of all Texans agree that men should not be allowed in women’s or girls’ public or school bathrooms. This is an issue that can expose the radical, Marxist, pro-homosexual agenda of the Democrats. It is a winning issue for Republicans.
You need to wade into this battle to protect the privacy and safety of women and girls by contacting your state representative today and letting him or her know that there should be “No Men in Women’s Bathrooms!”
You must demand that Speaker Joe Straus allow the Texas House to vote on the Swanson Amendment. The eyes of the nation are on Texas. Call your Texas House member now, http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/. Tell your representative, “No Men in Women’s Bathrooms!”
Rep. Valoree Swanson, a freshman member of the Texas House, has demonstrated the courage of her Christian convictions by offering this amendment which protects the privacy and safety of women and girls. She deserves our hearty approbation and support.
All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to do nothing.
