Senate Bill 14 Gets Final Passage in the Texas House

Texas children are being protected by Texas Republicans from the perverted pedophiles and their Democrat supporters who promote “gender disaffirming care.” 

 

Gender has always been defined as the biological sex. Not to accept your birth sex is to disaffirm your birth sex, to disaffirm your gender. Women have an XX sex  chromosome and men have an XY sex chromosome. This is biology 101. This is science.

 

Senate Bill 14 passed the Texas House yesterday, May 15, on the third reading, final debate and vote, 87-56. SB 14 bans sex change drugs and sex mutilation surgery on minors, and revokes the medical license of any doctor who participates in this activity of child abuse.

 

A minor amendment that was added on the House version of SB 14 will have to be voted on by the Texas Senate. The Senate sponsor, Donna Campbell, agrees with the amendment and will present the bill to the Senate to ratify the minor change in wording. This should occur this week. SB 14 initially passed the Senate five weeks ago, 19-12.

 

Sen. Donna Campbell, M.D. did a masterful job as lead sponsor in the Senate. Rep. Tom Oliverson, M.D. was the tip of the spear in the House. Both of these Christian leaders deserve accolades for taking on this issue in the face of the foul and severe opposition of perverse pedophiles, including threats of attacks and death. God hedged His angels around them and protected them.

 

Lt. Gov. Patrick made SB 14 one of his top priorities for this session. Speaker Phelan faithfully followed through on his commitment to pass SB 14. Kudos to both of them.

 

Every Republican in the Texas House and Senate supported SB 14. Kudos to the Republicans. Only 4 Democrats voted to protect children.

 

Let’s give thanks to God for raising up so many grassroots leaders from across Texas who have contacted their legislators and lobbied for its passage throughout this session.
