It is completely okay to admit that no one really believed Alex Jones when he began using the tag line “there is a war on for you mind” via his conspiracy-laden website Infowars.
The 9/11 “truther” and believer in all-thing Illuminati has been ranting for years about the liberal media and the minute insouciance being employed by the spin doctors therein. Jones, like many of his followers, automatically distrust everything that comes galavanting out of sources such as CNN, MSNBC, and others, to a nearly hilarious degree.
At one point, we all believed that Jones was at least a little bit crazy. Now, however, given what we’ve learned about the inner workings of social media and algorithmic manipulation, the hoarse-throated host seems a bit more prophetic than preposterous.
Now Americans are finding themselves staring down the barrel of a leftist propaganda machine, with outlets upon outlets from which this delirious drivel is being spilled. YouTube and Google have been at the forefront of the conservative censorship movement as of late, professing their faith to their democratic deities by strangling and throttling any content that doesn’t conform to their liberal ideals. And, for their spectacular ignorance of the First Amendment, the two internet goliath could find themselves in court sooner rather than later.
“PragerU, the conservative digital media organization from Dennis Prager, is suing YouTube and its parent Google over alleged censorship of their videos.
“According to the Wall Street Journal, the lawsuit, which was filed on Monday, ‘says YouTube’s more than 30 million visitors a day make the site so elemental to free speech in the digital age that it should be treated as a public forum.’
“’The suit argues the site must use the “laws governing free speech,” not its own discretion, to make decisions about what to censor,’ they reported, adding that PragerU ‘alleges that by limiting access to some of its videos without clear criteria YouTube is infringing on PragerU’s First Amendment rights.’
“YouTube has repeatedly censored PragerU on their platform, labeling political videos as ‘restricted’ adult content and even removing a video of ‘a Muslim man describing how he was raised to be anti-Semitic,’ branding the video as ‘hate speech.’”
By these parameters, historical documentaries depicting the horrors of The Holocaust could also be branded “hate speech” – an absurd and conniving twisting of the purpose of such material remaining in existence.
The lessons of history are being threatened by the liberal overlords who manipulate these internet entities, and must be preserved for future generations. If the left were able to erase all history of Fascism, they would soon be able to install their own version of the horrid practice on unsuspecting and uneducated populations around the world.
In this case, we are forced to agree with Alex Jones and others: Censorship is tyranny and must be stopped.
