Yesterday, Tuesday, March 14, the Texas Senate approved SB 6, “The Women’s Privacy Act,” by a vote of 21-10, and sent it to the Texas House for approval. The bill is also known as the “No Men in Women’s Bathrooms!” Bill.
Over the last week, Dr. Steven Hotze and Jared Woodfill, respectively the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of CRTX News, generated over 30,000 calls from constituents directly to their Texas Senators urging them to “Vote Yes” on SB 6.
Regarding this unprecedented direct response from voters to their elected state senators, Dr. Hotze, Publisher of CRTX News, said, “CRTX News rallied the conservative voters of Texas in support of SB 6. Their overwhelming support and response should make it clear that Texans do not want men in women’s bathrooms, showers or locker rooms…period.”
Dr. Hotze went on to say, “Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, Sen. Lois Kolkhorst, the bill’s author, and all 20 Republican state senators demonstrated the courage of their convictions by taking a stand to protect both the safety and privacy of women and girls from perverted men and boys who demand to use women’s bathrooms, showers and locker room facilities.” Senator Eddie Lucio was the only Democrat who had the good judgment to support SB 6.
Dr. Hotze further elaborated, “The homosexual movement wants to use the power of law to force individuals, churches, schools, businesses and private organizations to accept, affirm and celebrate those individuals who promote and practice deviant and perverse sexual activity, starting with children in grade school. A moral wrong does not make a civil right.”
“Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law strive with them.” (Proverbs 28:4)
CRTX News Editor-In-Chief, Jared Woodfill, said, “I applaud the efforts of Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, Sen. Lois Kolkhorst and all the Republican Senators who supported this critical piece of legislation. Rest assured that, whenever the Marxist, leftist Democrats attempt to undermine the core values of common-sense Texans, the leaders at CRTX News will take a principled stand and meet them head on. We have the will and capability to immediately mobilize the people to contact their elected representatives directly. We will continue to use this broad base of support to promote conservative Biblical values.”
Woodfill further stated, “The fallacious arguments of the Texas Association of Business (TAB) by its liberal president, Chris Wallace, were totally rebuked by the conservative Republicans in the Texas Senate, who support free enterprise businesses. Texans are not willing to sell out the protection of the safety and privacy of their women and girls at any price.”
SB 6 is Lt. Governor Patrick’s number one legislative priority. Now, the battle shifts to the House where Speaker, Joe Straus, is on record opposing the bill.
