At 5 am this morning, Wednesday, March 8th, the Texas Senate State Affairs Committee passed, by a vote of 8-1, Senate Bill 6 (SB 6), The Women’s Privacy Act. SB 6 would prohibit men, who claim to be women, from entering women’s public bathrooms, showers or locker rooms in civil government buildings and in government schools. It protects the privacy and safety of women and girls from perverted men and boys, and sexual predators, who want to use the power of law to force individuals, churches, schools and businesses to accept, affirm and celebrate their sexually deviant lifestyles. Private businesses are exempt from local civil government laws dictating bathroom policy.
There have been segregated men’s and women’s restrooms for thousands of years, for obvious reasons, in order to protect both the privacy and the safety of women and girls.
There is no price for which we will sell out the protection of our mothers, wives, daughters and granddaughters.
Sen. Lois Kolkhorst has provided exemplary leadership as author of SB 6. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has made SB 6 his top priority and has demonstrated the courage of his Christian convictions in standing against the Marxist, godless press and the compromised Texas Association of Business.
SB 6 will be voted upon by the Texas Senate, made up of 19 Republicans and 12 Democrats, within the next few days and when passed, it will be sent to the Texas House for passage. It will then be sent to Governor’s Abbott’s desk for his signature.
The real battle over SB 6 is going to be in the Texas House, where Speaker Joe Straus opposes SB 6, despite overwhelming support of it by the members of the House. Straus does not want to bring it up for a vote. Straus’ support as Speaker is founded upon a base of 55 democrats and 21 RINOs. The Democrats have been advocates of homosexuality, transgenderism, the killing of the unborn and other wicked activities in their National Democrat Party Platform. The Democrats in the Texas House oppose SB 6. If Straus allows it to be voted upon in the Texas House, then he will lose his speakership, because the Democrats will abandon him and find a new speaker.
Yesterday, Tuesday, March 7, Jared Woodfill and Dr. Steven Hotze attended the Texas Senate State Affairs Committee hearing in support of SB 6, the “No Men in Women’s Bathrooms” bill. CRTX News readers generated over 10,000 calls in favor of SB 6 to the offices of the 9 members of the State Affairs Committee on Monday and Tuesday. This gave the committee members the overwhelming public support that they needed to pass SB 6.
Dr. Rick Scarborough and John Graves, Leaders of Vision America, Jonathan Saenz, President of Texas Values, and Rev. Dave Welch of the Texas Pastors Council, each did a yeoman’s job in turning out their followers in support of SB 6.
The hearing began at 8 am yesterday and continued until 5 am this morning. Over 500 individuals registered to testify before the committee. You would have been shocked at the vile, perverted and deviant logic exposed by the testimony that the opponents of SB 6 spewed at the hearings. There was a rally of hundreds of perverted transgenders and their pro-homosexual supporters at the Capitol at noon yesterday in the rotunda of the State Capitol extension. It harkened back to the rally that the proponents of killing unborn babies held during the 2013 Special Session of the Texas Legislature when they chanted “Hail Satan.” These people are hell bent on creating moral anarchy in society.
“The wicked strut about on every side, when vileness is exalted in the land.” (Psalm 12:8)
After the completion of the testimony at 5 am this morning the committee voted 8 -1 to pass SB 6 and send it to the full senate. Voting for passage were 7 Republicans, Senators Joan Huffman, Bryan Hughes, Brian Birdwell, Brandon Creighton, Craig Estes, Jane Nelson and Charles Schwertner. They were joined by Democrat Senator Eddie Lucio. Democrat Senator Judith Zaffirini was the lone vote against SB 6.
All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to do nothing.
“Through God we shall do valiantly, and it is He that will tread down our adversaries.” (Psalm 108:13)
Let’s press this battle to protect women and girls to its successful conclusion!
