Dr. Steven Hotze’s Facebook video post supporting Governor Abbott has gone viral. In his Facebook video post Dr. Hotze praised Gov. Abbott for calling a Special Session of the Texas Legislature on July 18 and saying that SB 6, the Women’s Privacy Act, “No Men in Women’s Bathrooms!”, would be added to the call.

The response has been extraordinary! It has been viewed 265,000 times, has reached 490,000 of our supporters, had 15,200 likes, 2,000 comments and 1,600 shares. It can be viewed on Facebook at

CRTX News was established in January of this year with the goal of providing conservative Texans with an online newspaper that reported the news from a conservative perspective. Starting from scratch CRTX News has developed a huge following as demonstrated by Dr. Hotze’s Facebook post. CRTX News has become the voice of conservativism in Texas, and it is less than 6 months old. CRTX News has succeeded because it delivers hard-hitting TRUE NEWS on Texas, national and world politics.

In his Facebook video Dr. Hotze says, “Hurray to Gov. Abbott for calling a Special Session of the Texas Legislature for July 18. Abbott has called it to take up 20 issues. One of the most important issues that he is going to take up is Senate Bill 6 (SB 6), the Women’s Privacy Act, ‘No Men in Women’s Bathrooms!’ Many of you have been calling and emailing the governor’s office asking him to do this. I want you to call up Gov. Abbott and thank him for putting SB 6 on the call for the Special Session of the Texas Legislature.” Dr. Hotze then thanked Gov. Abbott. “Give him a call and let him know that you appreciate him. We thank you, Gov. Abbott, for taking a stand!”

Dr. Hotze went on to say, “Gov. Abbott, I want to thank you for taking a stand for women’s rights. I know that you believe that women and girls need to be protected, their privacy and safety, when they enter a bathroom, shower or locker room, so God bless you Gov. Abbott. Be sure to call Gov. Abbott and thank him.”

Please be sure to call Gov. Abbott and tell him you appreciate him adding SB 6 to the call for the Special Session at (512) 463-2000.

As you are well aware, CRTX News has been reporting extensively about SB 6. Under the leadership of Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and Sen. Lois Kolkhorst, the bill’s author, it was the first major legislation passed by the Texas Senate on March 14 by an overwhelming margin of 21-10. It was then sent to the Texas House, where the RINOs, Speaker Joe Straus and Rep. Byron Cook, his puppeteer, would not even send SB 6 to a committee for a hearing. Although the Texas House is overwhelmingly Republican with 95 members to 55 for the Dems, it was never brought up for a vote. Had SB 6 been voted upon, then it would have easily passed with at least 90 Republicans supporting it.

Straus has as his base support, 55 Dems who have agreed to support him. All RINO Straus needs is 21 RINO Republican state representatives to support him to keep his position. It is unconscionable that we do not have a staunch conservative Republican as Speaker of the Texas House.

With the outpouring of support, demonstrated by the response to Dr. Hotze’s Facebook video, for Gov. Abbott’s call to add SB 6 to the Special Session, many state representatives realize that they must replace Straus as Speaker in this Special Session. They realize that their constituents want them to protect the privacy and safety of women and girls in public and school bathrooms, showers and locker rooms. Straus opposes this because he vehemently opposes Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and wants to do whatever is necessary to block Patrick’s conservative agenda.

Straus not only blocked SB 6, but he also blocked the following conservative bills:

  • Providing for property tax reform
  • Providing school vouchers for special needs children
  • Spending limits on local and state governments
  • Prohibition for state and local governments for collecting union dues
  • Prohibiting state and local governments for spending money on killing unborn children
  • Prohibiting insurance companies from requiring coverage for killing unborn children
  • Preventing voter fraud
  • Restricting local governments’ ability to confiscate private property
  • Prohibiting Muslim Sharia Law

Many of these will be addressed in the Special Session.

The Republican state representatives know that their failure to pass these strong pieces of conservative legislation will make them vulnerable to conservative opponents in the upcoming 2018 primaries. They do not want RINO Straus’ liberal politics wrapped around their neck when they run for reelection.

I predict that Straus will be removed from the Speaker position in the Special Session, so that conservative legislation can be passed.
