Jared Woodfill Kicks Off Campaign for Speaker of the Texas House and State Rep HD 138

Jared Woodfill announced his candidacy for Speaker of the Texas House and for State Representative HD 138 on Thursday, November 16, at a campaign event at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Steven Hotze. There was a terrific turn out of supporters, including Dr. Ed Young, Dr. Rick Scarborough, Dr. Robin Armstrong, Texas Republican National Committeeman, James Buntrock, Chairman Senatorial District 7, Deborah Fite, State Republican Committeewoman, District 7, Roman Klein, State Republican Committeeman District 17, Judge Rory Olsen, Judge James Lombardino, Joe Trahan and Mark Goloby, both with BizPac. There were numerous HD 138 precinct chairmen in attendance, including Russell Rush and Josh Flynn, who is also the Treasurer of the Harris County Republican Party.

Jared Woodfill is challenging RINO Speaker, Dade Phelan, who was the point man for the Bush family, Karl Rove, Dick Weekley and TLR in the sham impeachment of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Phelan put together a coalition of House Democrats and RINOs to become Speaker in 2021 and again in 2023. In exchange for their support, Phelan agreed to appoint Democrats to Chairmanships of House Committees, which violates the Republican Party of Texas’ state platform.

Currently, Republicans hold 86 seats in the Texas House, compared to 64 seats held by the Democrats.

Woodfill said, “With our overwhelming Republican majority, it’s time for the Texas House to have a conservative Republican as Speaker. I am committed to working to make sure that Phelan and his fellow RINOs are defeated in the upcoming Republican primary elections.”

Woodfill is challenging two term Republican RINO, Lacey Hull, to replace her as State Representative in HD 138. Hull has been a puppet of RINO Dade Phelan and RINO Dick Weekley of TLR since being elected in 2020.

It’s all about the money. Over the last two election cycles, beginning in 2020, Dick Weekley’s TLR has contributed over $914,307.57 to Hull’s campaigns and Dade Phelan has contributed over $193,771.63. Hull of course has supported Phelan for Speaker during the last two sessions and voted to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton. The Sands Casino in Las Vegas gave $22,000 to Hull. She returned the favor by supporting legalized gambling in Texas. The RINO organization, Associated Republicans of Texas, gave her $182,109.64. The RINO Federal Republican Leadership Committee contributed $292,830.15. That’s a total of $1,605,018.99 that was given to Hull by wealthy RINOs and their organizations through the 2022 general election.

Woodfill commented, “It’s obvious that Lacey Hull has been bought and paid for by the RINO establishment and does not represent the grassroots conservatives in the Republican Party in House District 13

Jared Woodfill is a Houston attorney who served as Chairman of the Harris County Republican Party from 2002-2014. Under his leadership, the Republican candidates won all countywide elected offices in 4 separate general elections.

Jared is the current president of Conservative Republicans of Texas. In 2015, Jared helped lead the effort to defeat the Houston City Council Bathroom Ordinance, that would have allowed sexually perverted males to enter women’s bathrooms, showers and locker rooms.

Jared has been the lead attorney for Dr. Steve Hotze in numerous cases challenging the constitutionality of mask and vaccine mandates, the closing of churches and businesses, exposing vote fraud through illegal use of ballots by mail and drive through voting, and protecting First Amendment rights of free speech. Jared also represented Judge Rory Olsen and Judge James Lombardino in their challenge of the 2020 Harris County judicial election results over violations of the Texas Election Code by the Democrat election administrator, Clifford Tatum.

Jared Woodfill has demonstrated his Christian and conservative determination and character in battle against the RINOs and Communist Democrats over the past 25 years. Texas needs a bold, courageous leader, like Jared Woodfill, to become the Speaker of the Texas House and clean out the swamp in Austin.
